Today I asked Daisy what she wanted to be for Halloween--an astronaut or a conductor (these choices were based on her interests of late). She said, "An astronaut." Then she thought about it and said, "No, I want to be a drawbridge."
Hmmm. I wonder where I could get that costume?

Wow. Huh.
I'm impressed that she knows what a drawbridge is.
But yeah...a costume...
maybe her shirt can be painted like a castle and she can have a piece of cardboard painted like wood stuck to the shirt, and you can use tape to stick the bottom of the cardboard to the shirt and string on the top left and right corners. Then the string can raise and lower the bridge out of her. If you know what I mean...
Eric had a similar idea! I was thinking more of the bridge like near the ballpark :)
We'll both be missing Katherine, Tom and Maggie around Halloween time.

Thanks, you guys! I am planning to check back in with Daisy in a few weeks about Halloween. If she still wants to be a drawbridge and not, say, a ramp or a causeway, I will consult you guys about how to make this inspired vision a reality.
