You are right! Well, about Maggie, at least. Maggie decapitated her doll and warpainted its face. I did no harm to mine. The worst thing I did to it was name it "Rover." Maggie's was "Fido." Don't ask me why... I think we were just so obsessed with dogs and unused to dolls in the shape of people that we couldn't come up with other names.
Oh--one more thing: Daisy's Cabbage Patch doll IS my doll, Rover.
